Randstad are recruiting for a Procurement Manager for a client based in Banbury. They are a global company who specialise in manufacturing Special Purpose Machinery for a variety of industries, including the Pharmaceutical and Food industries.

The Procurement Manager will oversee the company’s sourcing capabilities and supply chain. You will be responsible for finding and evaluating suppliers, products and services, negotiating contracts and acquiring the most cost effective deals without compromising on quality.

You will demonstrate strong leadership and negotiation skills in a professional, proactive manner. You will be highly organised and structured in their approach of working, paying attention to detail and having excellent communication skills.

The role can be fast paced at times with pressures suddenly coming from different angles. The individual goals are to embed a culture of excellence for our customers while also being fully compliant.

You will be responsible for a team of 4 staff, which includes 2 Buyers, a Production Planner and a Planning Assistant.

Skills required

  • CIPS level 5 qualification or a Bachelor Degree equivalent in a related area such as Supply Chain Management or Purchasing
  • SAP or similar stock control system
  • 5 years purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of Production scheduling
  • Management experience is preferred but not essential

    • This is a permanent position, with a salary of £50,000-£55,000.

    The working hours are 8:45am-4:45pm Monday to Friday.
