Responsibilities

:

Your prime responsibility is to ensure that projects under their control produce the required outcomes to the defined standard of quality and within the specified constraints of time and cost. You arealso responsible for their projects producing a result capable of achieving the benefits defined in the business case.

You will be assigned to work on GMG’s numerous projects and be able to prioritise, effectively manage and escalate appropriately. You will be on working with the PMO function and the business teams to fully understand the business outcome, establish critical milestones, define ownership, create accountability, and closely track, manage, and deliver the stated outcomes.

  • Initiating projects, defining scope, assessing resources, creating plans, and communicating at all levels.
  • Preparing and agreeing Project, Stage and Team Plans in conjunction with Technical and Business Managers
  • Monitoring and controlling the project, including reporting progress against plan to the Project Board, Programme Management, and other stakeholders
  • Directing and motivating the project team
  • Managing risk, including developing contingency plans
  • Liaising with internal infrastructure teams and developers to co-ordinate works.
  • Liaising with Programme Management or related projects to ensure that work is neither overlooked nor duplicated
  • Taking responsibility for overall progress and use of resources and initiating corrective action where necessary
  • Managing the change control process and any configuration management
  • Agreeing technical and quality strategy with appropriate members of the Project Board
  • Preparing the Lessons Learned report and defining any follow-on action recommendations required
  • Preparing the End Project Report
  • Being responsible for project administration
  • May also perform Resource Management and PMO functions
  • Minimum and Preferred Experience/Skills:

  • University graduate desirable
  • Member of the Association of Project Management (APM) or the Project Management Institute (PMI)
  • PRINCE 2 Practitioner desirable (Or equivalent)
  • Project Life Cycle Management:

  • Management of project teams in the implementation of Projects (internal and external, geographically dispersed teams)
  • Prior experience with delivering multiple consolidation and migration projects required
  • Experience with identifying and monitoring the implementation of technology migration plans, dependencies and risks essential
  • Ability to work with Development and Infrastructure teams with a good technical understanding software lifecycle and infrastructure
  • Experience with Cloud migrations
  • Sound working knowledge of the following disciplines:

  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Agile, Waterfall or other Project Management Methodologies
  • Infrastructure life cycle management
  • Technology Security processes and best practices
  • Asset tracking and configuration management
  • Cloud computing
  • Personal impact:
