Job Title: Operations Manager

Salary: Competitive plus bonus and company car/car allowance, and pension.

Location: Lincoln

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hour per week

At our Lincoln Depot this position will include overseeing a number of outbases as well as playing a key role in developing the new Grantham Transfer Station. You will report directly to the Business Manager and be responsible for delivering strong operational and financial performance whilst maintaining high levels of customer service and team engagement.

What will you be doing?

  • Daily management of operatives, staff and site based support to ensure site capability and capacity is maximised.

  • Ensure optimum service delivery and the effective and safe organisation of work processes whilst delivering maximum operational efficiency.

  • You will be accountable for people management and ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and company quality, and health & safety obligations.

  • Implement and maintain compliance of all company policies and procedures including fleet compliance and any changes to regulatory standards and legislation.

  • Responsible for contributing to achieving the targeted level of operational profitability and growth whilst delivering exceptional customer service KPI’s.

  • Responsible for the day to day running of the site(s), including O licence

  • responsibility and fleet compliance

  • Provide clear, transparent and accurate reporting of operational business performance.

  • Working in partnership with support functions to maintain & foster good customer relations.

  • Ensuring training and competency checks are in place for all roles.

What are we looking for?

  • CPC licence – desirable

  • Experience in managing transport/fleet compliance.

  • Previous experience of operating within a commercial business and an understanding of other associated operational processes that may be in use on site.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to communicate with people of all levels.

  • Ability to organise resources and manage labour to meet operational demands.

  • Experienced IT Skills, Google or MS Office 2000 and the ability to adapt to Google.
