Hunter-Merrifield are delighted to have partnered with the fantastic Carers UK to find them a Corporate New Business Executive to join their corporate partnership team. The role will be working with the New Business Manager to identify and prospect new business opportunities from the corporate sector.

About Carers UK

Carer’s UK are the only national charity centred around unpaid carers. It’s their mission to make life better for carers by offering expert advice and support, so that nobody has to care on their own.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generate new business income from the corporate sector
  • Work with the New Business Manager to research potential clients, and develop a tailored approach to new business opportunities
  • Develop a pipeline of prospects across the Carers UK portfolio, including advertising and sponsorship opportunities, as well as working with others to identify strategic partnership opportunities
  • Complete funding applications (where applicable) such as for charity of the year, drawing on internal resources
  • Ensure cross organisational working at all times, including updating the database on meeting outcomes, especially important with Employer for Carers membership team
  • Ensure all proposals and partnerships are compliant with the Fundraising Regulator and best practise
  • Report monthly on performance, and objectives
  • Identify suitable industry events to attend, in order to gain contacts and knowledge

Person Specification

  • Experience of working in a commercially focused environment
  • Experience of financial budgets, and reporting progress against targets
  • Ability to make ‘cold approaches’ to clients
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Experience of researching prospects, and providing supportive reports
  • Understanding of building a prospects list, and maintaining a pipeline of quantifiable prospects

This role will be perfect for somebody who is naturally passionate about new business with income generation experience from either private or third sector.
