We are working with a household name company with branches across the UK. They are a a major player in their sector and are looking to continue growing their business and bring in the most exciting talent on the market.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives
This role will report into the Product Director and work within the wider Digital and Product Development team. They will join this team with a view of learning about the Products used within the business and grow into a Product Ownership role.
1. Documentation and maintenance of the core business system
2. Analysis of existing products and provision of improvements of specific business functions. This includes provision to remove functionalities no longer widely in use
3. Work closely with the Architect, Development and QA teams to understand current pipeline and understand technical feasibility of solutions
4. Assist the Product Owner/Director with prioritisation, design, story writing, requirements gathering, research, meeting management, project management and timely delivery of projects
5. Competitor analysis of similar products in the marketplace and gap analysis to identify potential product enhancements
6. Researching and evaluation emerging technologies across both hardware and software
Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:
1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
2. Ability to demonstrate great customer service skills to support the Products team in dealing with stakeholders and users.
3. Ability to translate customer requirements into concise, complete functional requirements
4. Knowledge of agile software development principles including Scrum and the ceremonies and techniques employed within a benefit
5. Desire to provide a great customer experience
Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:
1. Have an interest in technology, software in particular
2. Ability to read code would be beneficial
3. Familiarity of Jira a benefit
