Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Plymouth
An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and reputable regional contractor on a permanent basis based out of the Plymouth office but covering the region. Types of works include refurbishments and maintenance ranging from £10k to £3m. You will be involved in a multitude of projects across the region at any one time.
Responsibilities:
- Review of Contract Documents and identify contractual risks
- Provide up to date information on anticipated final account figures and projected profit
- Provide feedback to estimators regarding actual costs
- Identify cost saving opportunities
- Identify and record variations to contract
- Monitor variation accounts, for inclusion where appropriate within client account
- Agree final accounts and reconcile with client account
Ideally you will have a HNC or Degree in Quantity Surveying (or other equivalent qualification)
Must hold experience working in a similar role
Must have excellent communication skills across all levels of staff and management – both internal and external
Must be computer literate in Microsoft programs including Excel, Word and Outlook
