Summary

  • Prepare staffs’ orders according to their preferences
  • Ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines
  • Being responsible for health and safety
  • Being responsible for food hygiene practices
  • Experiment to come up with new specialities that will draw staff into the canteen
  • Coaching the other member of kitchen staff, so they perform at their best
  • Determine how much food to order and maintain an appropriate supply at the canteen
  • Looking for qualities such as:

    Food hygiene and regulation knowledge / understanding

    Catering / food preparation experience

    Creativity

    A team player who is positive and approachable

    Ability to work alone as well as be a part of a team

    Ability to work under pressure
