This role requires someone who wants to work closely with non-finance stakeholders in a partnering role with exposure to the CEO and COO and other functional business heads within the senior management structure.

This is a commercial modelling role that would suit an experienced financial modeller who can help to build insightful and clear models.

The Role

As the Junior Financial Modeller you will be required to join the existing commercial finance team to support:

  • Financial modelling for energy and housing projects. Supporting the financial models for the business and being responsible for assisting the creation, update, and maintenance of the models.
  • Assist incorporation of the latest economic conditions, reflecting quarterly updates, review & actualization.
  • Support replacement of the current energy models, engaging with operations and finance to ensure the underlying assumptions reflect the business requirements.
  • Support the creation of a housing model to reflect individual standalone projects, which can be used to assess the viability of projects from both a development and asset holding perspective.
  • Ensure development of user-friendly financial models with the options to create scenarios and actualize the cost base.
  • Assist with creating ad hoc models to assist the business in effective decision making.
  • Contribute to one off modelling projects to support new projects or one off scoping projects.
  • To help extract relevant data from accounting software and the impact of inter-company transactions.
  • Help to develop and sustain a close partnering relationship with operational teams and the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer.
  • Ensure the models are accurate at all times and timely updates reflect scenarios and changing business practices.

Your Profile

The successful Junior Financial Modeller is likely to have a finance background and will have some prior experience building or amending financial models, either in industry or from their education/studies. This is a visible role that would suit a confident communicator who enjoys business partnering and working with senior management.

Salary & Benefits

£35,000 – £40,000 plus comprehensive benefits including life insurance, private medical cover, 25 days holiday plus holiday purchase options and flexible benefits. Parking is available on site, alternatively the office is well served by bus and train routes as well.
