    Job Description

    We all have a responsibility to embrace the changes of the FCDO as it transforms, building the culture we want to see and delivering our cultural statement in how we Lead and behave towards others; how we make decisions and how we get the job done is everyone’s responsibility.Supporting the regular provision of advice to Ministers and the Board/Executive Committee on FCDO spending choices, through succinct and insightful analysis to inform strategic decision-making.

    The provision of deep-dive analysis on key topics or questions, identifying priorities and emerging risks.

    Leading your elements of the financial planning process, including careful design, road-testing, and rollout of the process. This includes continuous improvement in financial management across FCDO, refining processes for capturing data, and driving better quality Long-term spending forecasts throughout the organisation.

    Proactively engaging with a wide range of stakeholders to monitor Live issues with spending implications. This will include close working with the Business Planning team, Finance Business Partners, Strategy and HR.

    Corporate Leadership of the Strategic Finance & ODA Management Department alongside our wider network of SEOs.

    Contributing to the work to build FCDO Finance, developing a positive working environment and making our Directorate a great place to work.
