Description
I am looking to speak with a Senior Geotechnical Engineer situated in York with at least 3 years’ experience to sit below the technical and managing directors who is looking to work for a small design consultancy that specialize in detailed geotechnical design in a fast-paced environment.
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will be expected to undertake the detailed design of foundations, earthworks calculations, retaining wall design, bearing capacity calculations and analysis slope stability as well as pile design. You will need to be confident using software such as such as PLAXIS, Oasys and LPile, albeit training will be provided.
Coming in as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer you will have the opportunity to lead some of the most technically challenging detailed design projects, through putting their own stamp on these projects. Your responsibilities will include preparing fee proposals, liaising with clients to facilitate efficient execution of project work, supporting, managing, and developing graduate and more junior geotechnical engineers.
A Senior Geotechnical Engineer must have a relevant BSc in Geology with a MSc/Meng in Engineering Geology or Geotechnical Engineering as well as a full clean driving license.
