Prospectus is pleased to be working with Bar Standards Board (BSB) to recruit their new Senior Regulatory Officer.

Please note, this role is being offered on a 6 month fixed Term Contract.

Bar Standards Board is an independent organisation that regulates barristers and specialised legal service businesses in England and Wales in the public interest.

The main purpose of this role is to undertake risk and evidence-based authorisation of individuals, chambers, Approved Education and Training Organisations and other bodies regulated by the Bar Standards Board. Responsibilities include, ensuring authorisation applications are managed, prioritised and assessed within regulatory and target timescales; applying the risk framework throughout the process to produce robust and consistent authorisation and taking senior level responsibility for complex cases.

To be considered for this post, you will have experience in a similar role with strong knowledge and understanding of operating in a regulatory regime. You will have the ability to analyse information, taking decision against defied criteria along with the ability to work independently and deliver results. Excellent communications skills are key as is the ability to convey information clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing.
