Job Description:

Job Title: Post Room/Facilities Assistant Location: Winchester Temporary Duties: Opening post, bags of mail to sort each morning from 8am, Each Mail needs to be opened in a set way regarding on different departments. This could take 1-4 hours per day. Email all the departments that they have received mail. Post needs to be ready for collection from the different departments. Returned Mail and Business of client mail to be sorted. Record all post received on Excel Spreadsheet, Pigeon hole and stamp each letter received. Stock -take envelopes and stationery and place orders. Sort out all the different envelopes and send out recorded or special delivery post. Person Specification: Someone who is used to working on their own as well as in a Team to maintain an effective service for post, both in and out. Great team player. Need to be accurate, observant and do the job quickly and efficiently following all instructions and best practice. Accurate record keeping is essentialEssential Knowledge, Skills and Experience Basic IT skills – Word/Excel/Outlook Basic numeracy and literacy skills Effective communication skills, written and oral Able to fulfil the mobility requirements associated with the role Some roles may require a valid driving licence Able to address the moving/handling requirements in the role Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience Hold a full driving licenceWorking Conditions Manual Handling: objects kg + (daily requirement) Display Screen Equipment: Laptop or Desktop PCSmart casual clothing, no jeans, message/logo shirts, Proper footwear, no trainers.
