HR Advisor

We are currently looking for an HR Advisor to join our busy team!

Location: Shrewsbury, Shropshire

Salary: Competitive

HR Advisor Duties:

This role plays an integral part of the Berrys team advising on all people related matters.

Duties will include although not be confined to:

  • Recruitment: drafting job descriptions, placing advertisements, receiving applications, liaising with agents, shortlisting, organising, and conducting interviewing, candidate liaison
  • Induction: designing induction programme, monitoring of probation periods
  • Employment: Offer letters, contracts, checking qualifications and gathering paperwork, contract variations and maintaining employee files
  • Monitoring holiday, sickness & absence data and calculating of annual leave
  • Using our HR System to record all employee information and scan all paperwork to electronic files.
  • Preparing monthly reports for payroll department
  • Monthly reports on recruitment and HR issues
  • Writing a monthly HR bulletin that goes to all employees
  • Representing the firm at networking events.

HR Advisor Requirements:

This role will work closely with the current HR Advisor and offers opportunities to further develop your HR skills.

  • Previous experience in an HR role is essential
  • CIPD Qualified to Level 3 or equivalent
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels and to build and maintain relationships
  • Microsoft Word & Excel to an intermediate level
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and use own initiative
  • Flexible, with a can-do attitude to tasks and hours
  • Travel to other offices will be required so access to a vehicle and insurance must include business use.
