Procurement Manager required to join a Public Sector organisation based in Manchester. My client is looking for an enthusiastic individual who is an experienced Procurement Manager to join their dynamic and growing team on a full-time, Permanent basis.

As the Procurement Manager you will lead for the Arts Council on the effective procurement of goods and services and compliance with public procurement regulations, alongside the various duties below:

Key responsibilities of the Procurement Manager

  • Provide procurement advice, guidance and support to all areas of the organisation
  • Provide advice to managers on risk and risk mitigation strategies relating to procurement
  • Create and manage framework agreements
  • Implement contract management strategies and techniques
  • Lead on upskilling the wider organisation to raise awareness of good procurement practices
  • Produce key management information about the organisations expenditure profile and identify areas for collaborative and effective procurement
  • Be responsible for leading on procurement projects and tenders exercises
  • Required skills and experience of the Procurement Manager

  • Hold or working towards a professional procurement qualification CIPS Advanced Diploma
  • Experience in leading and delivering a procurement function
  • Experience in public procurement
  • Knowledge of procurement systems such as Delta
  • Strong IT skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise responsibilities
  • Demonstrates initiative whilst able to take direction
