Receptionist (Maternity Cover) – Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire

Job type: Part time, temporary- Maternity Cover

Contract hours: Up to 12 hours per week

Shift pattern example: 10- 4pm. Saturday and Sundays.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • To provide a warm welcome to anyone visiting or telephoning the home, responding to queries professionally and efficiently, including providing advice on all types of care and services offered by the home.
  • To provide secretarial support to the Home Manager and ensure the efficient running of the home.
  • Report all accidents and incidents to the Person in Charge of the home, whilst advising on the rules and procedures carried out in the event of fire.
  • Be responsible for security, appearance and general tidiness of the reception area including notices, poster, brochures and maintaining plants, flowers, sweets, coffee machine etc.
  • Receive and check all orders (except food) for the home and distribute to appropriate departments.
  • Deal with telephone enquiries, transferring calls and taking accurate written messages and pass on these messages in a timely manner.

About you:

  • Previous Receptionist/ admin experience
  • Excellent verbal/written communication
  • Computer Skills- Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Knowledge of basic office procedures and methods
  • Good organisation skills and able to work as part of a team.
  • Right to live and work in the UK
