Role: Cloud Security SME

Location: Remote

Role: Fixed Term until 06/09/2022

Role purpose

Travelex operates on a global scale, working with some of the top financial & retail partners. As a strong communicator and subject matter expert within the field of Cloud platforms/solutions with a security focus, you will have the opportunity to work as part of an established, committed & friendly infrastructure team on a large global program to enhance security across the existing estate and new cloud estate.

As a result of consistently high demand by partners and regulators Travelex is looking to increase the scale of the Cloud specialists / architects to build the security posture of the future. Currently, although this a 12-month fixed term contract this is planned to be a 3-year program, hence there is possible scope for extension.

This is a highly technical role requiring:

· The ability to interpret both business and technical requirements to produce security focused high- and low-level designs.

· Provide consultancy to implementation scrum teams, requiring the production of migration road maps, broken down into suitable agile scrum team stories.

· Provide evaluations and technical reviews of major Cloud security activities.

· Provide 3rd line support for projects, transitions, due diligence exercises, and the development of new business solutions.

You will be an expert in designing and implementing robust solutions, including the impact to operational support and project/change management within a service oriented and controlled infrastructure.

You will be a great team player with experience of working in geographically dispersed team environments and working with third party service providers.

You will have experience of successfully managing expectations with stakeholders and working within defined budgets.

Essential Technical

· Good experience of IT Security – deploying solutions in a secure manner, to meet audit and compliance requirements.

· In-depth knowledge of AWS service including security tooling

· IaaS , PaaS , cloud native / Serverless compute

· Knowledge of Web application and API deployments in AWS

· Infrastructure as code

· Scripting / python experience

· Reading and analysing code / logs.

· CICD and automation

· AWS certification

Desirable Technical

· Agile ways of working

· AWS control tower and landing zone

· AWS networking knowledge

· Azure O365 knowledge

· Experience in cloud migration and transformations
