Cleaning Supervisor.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Cleaning Supervisor within the Domestic and Linen Team, to be based at Sunderland Royal Hospital, also covering all CHoiCE satellite sites as required

Hours Per Week – 40 hours per week, you must be flexible to work on a rota basis across 7 days and applicants must be able to provide 24/7 cover in line with service needs and as business dictates.

Salay £21,300 – £22,152 PA. Shift Allowance and Plenty of benefits included.

Job outline:

The post holder will take day-to-day responsibility for the Domestic and Linen Teams to overcome each challenge presented. The post holder will be responsible for:

  • To Supervise and prioritise work and direct staff accordingly to ensure optimum use of resources across all CHoICe sites.
  • To ensure duties carried out by Facilities staff are completed accurately and in a timely way.
  • Working closely with Facilities Management team, and the clinical site managers and on call teams out of hours, week-ends and normal office hours to prioritise operational requirements
  • To assist the Heads of Department and deputies in managing the duties and performance of the staff within Soft FM
  • To contribute to the on-going development and delivery of all Soft FM services
  • Supervise all aspects required for the delivery of a high quality Soft FM, ensuring that all service staff are correctly trained to fulfil their role, and that the service is in line with customer needs

A successful Candidate must have the below;

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent qualification (includes Maths and English)
  • NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification or substantial experience in a support service role with the equivalent level of knowledge
  • Sound knowledge of catering / domestic / porter functions within a healthcare environment
  • Previous experience of working in a support services function
  • Current driving licence
