The client is looking for a master planner to join work with the Programme Manager and programme controls team to make sure they are fully compliant with the clients processes.

My client is a leading global defence organisation who specialise in providing innovative solutions to their clients across the defence space. Due to the nature of the work, candidates will be required to hold an active DV clearance to be considered for this role.

My client is flexible on hybrid working and also offer candidates a chance to have every other Friday off work.

The Key Responsibilities of a Master Planner:

  • Deliver expert services in Scheduling, Cost, Risk and Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Development and maintenance of Performance Measurement Baselines, ensuring fully integrated Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Statement of Work (SOW), Schedule, Earned Value and Risk baselines.
  • Creation and maintenance of the programme Integrated Master Plan (IMP).
  • Creation and maintenance of schedule management plans.
  • Deliver disciplined Budgeting and amendment principles, practices and processes.
  • Assist Programme Control Team Lead with delivering a risk management service for Programme risks identification, assessment, mitigation planning, mitigation action tracking and reporting of risks and opportunities status.
  • Co-ordinate Monthly Risk Management Reviews working closely with the Programme Manager.
  • Below is a list of Key Skills required for the Master Planner role, however you will not be expected to have everything:

  • Experience of providing data driven recommendations to Programme Management and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Experience of delivering programme controls on bids and proposal activities.
  • SME in Programme Performance Management.
  • Expertise in use of Microsoft Project® and Deltek Open Plan® or similar tools.
  • Proficient use of ARM (Risk Management) tool or equivalent.
  • Proficient knowledge in the application of Earned Value Management, particularly on complex or large engineering programmes.
  • Experience with schedule risk management tool.
