We are pleased to be working with an exciting business based in Banbury. This is an excellent opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join the team, who has the ability to create financial reports for operational and executive use.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the creditors ledger including creditor payments, maintenance of instalment plans and schedules, supplier account set up and reconciliations
  • Assist the Assistant Management Accountant by providing timely and accurate updates on creditor spend for the weekly cash flow, highlighting any risks, concerns or variances
  • Review creditors ledger on a weekly basis and assist with month end creditor reconciliations, highlighting any issues to the Finance Manager
  • Review and keep on top of open POs including GRNI report
  • Manage company credit card and expenses process in line with company policy, ensuring prompt turnaround
  • Maintain the fixed asset register including additions and disposals and reconciling assets and depreciation to the general ledger. Administer finance lease transactions
  • Calculation of month end accruals and prepayments
  • Where required assist with bank payment/direct debit postings
  • Assist the wider Finance Team with the year end & audit process
  • Provide ad-hoc financial support to the Finance Manager and Project Accountant as required
