Cleaning staff wanted!

The Estates and Facilities department are looking to recruit a number of highly motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join the Bank Facilities team.

Main duties of the job

Working either on your own or as part of a team ,you will maintain high standards of cleaning. You will need to be able to provide a customer focused service and be of a friendly and helpful nature.

Hourly Rates (inclusive of the 12.5% uplift)

  • Day: £10.39 to £11.16 per hour
  • Nights/Saturdays: £14.85 to £15.95 per hour
  • Sundays/Bank Holidays: £19.22 to £20.64 per hour

    Hours of work vary in each unit but are typically part time working in either the morning, afternoon or evening and weekends.

    Our bank services offer you the opportunity to work hours and days to cover annual leave and sickness whilst still providing a friendly and committed team to work within. All bank workers are paid on a weekly basis.

    EPUT offer all bank workers an annual leave entitlement which is an enhancement that is paid in your weekly salary.

    Detailed job description and main responsibilities

    The following duties will include:

    To ensure that the ward(s) / areas you are assigned to are cleaned in accordance with the Work Schedule for those ward(s) / areas. This will include vacuuming floors; sweeping, scrubbing and mopping floors; high and low dusting; wiping over and polishing (where applicable) both vertical and horizontal surfaces, mirrors, chairs*, bed frames*, bins, sani-bins; cleaning toilets, sinks, baths and showers; cleaning regeneration ovens, fridges, holding fridges, microwaves and others items in the kitchens; defrosting fridges on a regular basis; restocking consumables such as toilet tissue, handtowels, soap; descaling taps; and bins and replacing bin liners. (* Providing they have not been soiled with body fluids).

    As a newly appointed employee you are responsible for incurring the cost of your initial DBS check relevant to your post, the amount will be deducted from your first salary with the Trust.
