An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen within Neurology working for some of the most inspirational Consultants in the NHS based at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust.

We are looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated Trainee Support Manager with relevant experience to join our high performing and successful team.

The post will provide you with an exciting challenge and give you the opportunity to play a key-supporting role in a rapidly growing service which currently serves a population of 3.2 million.

Main duties of the job

You must possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to work both as part of a team and on your own initiative.

You will be able to organise and prioritise your own workload and balance this with the demands of a busy, diverse and varied role.

A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, RSA II or equivalent typing, excellent audio typing skills, waiting list management, medical terminology, proven organisational skills, 18 week standards and a strong commitment to personal and professional development is desired.

Person specification

Experience/Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • 5 A-C GCSE grades
  • ECDL or equivalent
  • Experience of administrative/office environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Teams
  • Desirable criteria

  • 1 year minimum NHS experience
  • RTT knowledge
  • Local system knowledge, EPR, PAS, G2, Medisec
  • Skills

    Essential criteria

  • Clear communicator with good writing & data entry
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Desirable criteria

  • Knowledge of activity management (including waiting lists)
  • Experience of analytical problem solving and data management
