We make promises to our customers, and we’ll make promises to you too. The key responsibilities in this role include;

Accountabilities:

  • Support the team to follow Safety Standards and to help reduce or eliminate health and safety related risks
  • Coordinate the team as required to apply the Safety Standards
  • Use the Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) program on a daily basis to ensure appropriate behaviors and processes are followed as required
  • Undertake basic low level incident investigations within the work place and promptly escalate issues of non compliance to safety regulations and procedures
  • Respond to or escalate customer issues within clear guidelines and recommend solutions
  • Support management implement continuous improvement activities
  • Suggest local changes affecting the work or team to line manager to further support continuous improvement
  • Monitor absence and sickness and respond to or escalate issues within clear guidelines
  • Assist with induction and training
  • Supports the delivery of regular colleague briefings via the use of Performance Dialogue boards and regular briefings
  • Supports management communicate clear operational objectives
  • Within the context of responsibilities set by management, on a day-to-day basis, supports management assign tasks, monitor performance and support the team as necessary
  • Coordinate day-to-day performance, including achievement of agreed customer KPIs and other internal KPIs (eg. safety, operational, employee related etc)
  • Support and coordinate the team to drive an engagement culture at the site
  • Maintain presence on the floor to coordinate core activities and resolve or escalate issues
  • Support management in active recognition of daily improvements
  • Follow HR processes and tools to encourage and support the growth and development of individuals
  • Involved in the recruitment and development of the team and coordinate performance within local guidelines

Requirements:

  • Experience managing a team within a Warehouse operational environment (essential)
  • Good verbal & written communication skills (essential)
  • Organised and good numerical skills
  • Customer communication & service experience (desirable)
  • Ability to work independently and use own initiative (essential)
  • Eager to perform & grow in the business (essential)
