My Client is a top contractor based in the North West, civil sector known for a range of exciting infrastructure projects.
Due to an increase in sites they are looking to expand their team and introduce a SHE Advisor to the business working on a new highways project.
Responsibilities
…
Understand the Company Health & Safety and Environmental (SHE) Policies and Processes and statutory requirements and ensure that the requirements are implemented on the project.
Assist, where needed, with the development of Health, Safety and Environmental Management plans if applicable and coordination of review
Provide operational and functional management with advice on the prevention of accidents, incidents and ill health
Provide guidance and independence with regards to the assessment of and appointment of sub-contractors
Support the Bid management team with regards to marketing, tenders and pre-qualification information
Assist if necessary with the preparation of SHE risk assessments and Method Statements
Assist in the investigation of accidents, incidents, dangerous occurrences, near misses and other incidents as directed.
Assist in the preparation and implementation of SHE training/briefings, as directed.
Knowledge and competency in relations to SHE
Requirements
Experience in managing client expectations.
Excellent organisation, communication and time management skills
A passion of Safety, Health and Environment
