Summary

We are seeking two Content Editors to join our team here at Historic England. Our website is vast and varied, hosting content from climate change research to archaeological discoveries, salty shipwreck guidance to cutting-edge campaigns. These vacancies are a key part of our ongoing digital strategy.

We have two opportunities available;

6-month contract

24-month contract

What you will be doing

The Content Editor helps to support the development, delivery, and evaluation of effective content for Historic England`s website. You`ll work closely with colleagues to help ensure our audiences have the tools, knowledge and inspiration they need to champion and look after England`s spectacular historic environment.

What we are looking for

-An experienced copywriter, with an eye for detail and an understanding of the special requirements of web writing.
-Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems and of developing online content for a large website
-Knowledge and experience of developing effective customer journeys through digital channels.
-Experience of influencing and collaborating with a wide range of partners internally and externally
-Experience of tailoring content to channels and audiences to achieve project targets
-Experience of managing analytics and producing performance reports on digital activity
