My client one of the largest music companies in the world are looking for a ambitious and motivated finance and royalties analyst who has strong experience in the Music industry
You will assist the royalty accountant in clearing a backlog of unresolved artist payment queries and in addition act as a light cover for the accounts payable manager. Ideally you will have some working knowledge of music royalties. This is a unique role that sits at the core of a transformative creative business whilst collaborating globally with teams around the world.
Key Qualifications At least 5 years accounts payable or royalties experience with a broad understanding of digital streaming. Possess an extremely high attention to detail. Self-starter who will take ownership of the role and can work without continuous instruction. Excellent systems skills (knowledge of core royalty accounting systems is highly advantageous). Strong collaboration and people skills. Description You will:
Be responsible for resolving old artists royalties that need to be re-issued. This includes coordinating with the Payments Team to ensure that artist royalties are paid on time and that any additional issues/failed payments are resolved. Liaise with the royalty accountant to make sure that all payments/adjustments are reflected accurately on the royalty accounting system Set up new vendor accounts on our 3rd party AP (Accounts Payable) system Answer vendor set up and invoice payment queries Create PO’s for UK vendors Assist with any adhoc accounts payable tasks
