Are you an experienced Behaviour Mentor who enjoys working with children that have faced significant social and academic barriers? Do you want to provide a high standard of 1-2-1 and small group support in a dynamic classroom environment? The Education Network is working in partnership with a fantastic Alternative Provision in the search for suitable Behaviour Mentors to support students that require additional support.

As a Behaviour Mentor you may be working children with a variety of Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ADHD, EBD, and SEMH. You will be joining a fantastic team of teaching and support staff who have been praised for going the extra mile in order to nurture and support students. In order to be successful in this role you will need a clear communication style, a positive approach and a smile! Every day is different when working in a fantastic setting like this one!
Ideally, you will:

  • Be a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Mentor or Degree Qualified
  • Have recent experience of working in a similar setting
  • Have excellent behaviour management strategies
  • Be flexible working across Key Stages 3 & 4
  • Have a current DBS and relevant school references
  • Be able to work on your own initiative when supporting the class teacher as a Teaching Assistant
