We have a fixed term Facilities Assistant role available within Hertfordshire Constabulary. The main purpose of the role is to provide a safe working environment in the constabulary.

Role: Facilities Assistant

Location: Hertfordshire (Welwyn Garden city and surrounding areas)

Rate: £ ph

Contract length: 6 months initially

Shift Patterns: 37 per week, Mon – Fri, 8 to 4

Responsibilities:

  • Liaising, monitoring and following with the call out procedures
  • Ensure that all equipment, buildings and mechanical and electrical plant are maintained to good working order
  • To maintain efficient and effective day to day running and repair of Constabulary buildings, mechanical and electrical plant, equipment, fixtures and fittings
  • Regularly check emergency, security systems and evacuation routes to ensure they are good to use during emergency situations
  • Monitor the cleaning of Constabulary buildings and report the problems

    • Essential requirements:

  • Qualified engineer
  • Experienced in general mechanical, electrical, building repairs and maintenance
  • Full UK driving licence
