Following a recent change within our compliance team, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Contract Manager whose specialism is in Asbestos to join our busy, forward thinking and high performing team!

Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: £46,795

Contract Manager Role:

The role will be a mix of working from our modern head office in Birkenhead, Wirral which is easily accessible from most transport links together with home/ hybrid working. There will be a requirement to attend meetings at our head office in Birkenhead and potentially other locations as deemed necessary to fulfil your role and complete training. The role of Contract Manager – Asbestos will report directly to the Head of Asset Compliance & Building Safety and has responsibility for managing a small team of people who support this role.

Contract Manager Duties:

  • Ensure the organisation meets its statutory, legislative and regulatory responsibilities regarding asbestos across its property portfolio.
  • Ensure that our customers and stakeholders are safe in their homes.
  • Be the organisations lead and subject matter expert on Asbestos compliance.
  • Lead and work collaboratively on the procurement, management and performance of contractor/s delivering compliance works. 
  • Lead and work collaboratively on the development and implementation of a new compliance-based software system.
  • Ensure that accurate/ certified data, certification is in place and held within the organisations systems.
  • Strong focus on contract performance, budgetary management and customer service.
  • Positively contribute to the role and the team you work with whilst sharing your knowledge, experience and skills to develop others.
  • The ability to plan, organise and prioritise work is essential and to be able to work with colleagues of all levels, both internal and external.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are a must and ideally you will be fully proficient in all Microsoft Office packages.
