Role

:

The Database Administrator is pivotal in working towards continuous improvement and therefore making

the business more successful. An ability to analyse and manipulate large and complex excel data sets

is essential, including monitoring and entering of information onto the internal database system accurately

and efficiently. The role requires a strong capability in interpreting complex packaging weights,

packaging levels and different material types.

Duties:

The Database Administrator will:

– Analyse and manipulate large excel data sets

– Manage and develop established supplier relationships

– Develop a sound understanding of packaging data, packaging levels and material types

– Ensure the collection of the accurate information to maintain the packaging database

– Collaborate with suppliers extensively via phone and email

– Work closely alongside colleagues to build strong working relationships with team members, customers,

and suppliers

Skills:

Good depth of outlook, MS Word and Excel technical knowledge (Conditional Formatting, Vlookup,

SUMIF,Pivot tables, running of set macros)

Analytical and problem-solving approach with previous data gathering and reporting experience

Highly numerate and able to analyse complex information

High standard of data accuracy and attention to detail

Excellent customer-focussed approach

Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written

Organised with the ability to manage and prioritise own workload to multi-task and work to deadlines

Previous office-based experience within customer focused role

Previous data entry and database experience
