This is an incredible opportunity to join Crown in a brand-new role and become one of the ‘first feet on the ground’ for the new manufacturing Plant we are building in Peterborough.

In the short term, the Finance Admin will work with the Project Management team to support all order administration for the Plant creation project.

Once the site is up a running in early , the Finance Admin will become part of the new Finance team in the Peterborough Plant to provide support to Group Finance.

The purpose of the role will be to provide accurate and timely information to the plant on budgets and forecasts, as well as on costs. In time, the Finance Admin will work with the factory on analysis which helps to reduce costs and explain variations to budgets.

There will be a lot of opportunity to grow and develop in this role, in line with the growth of the finance function in Peterborough.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide financial requirements related to the new Crown Peterborough Plant as required by the Project Team and Group Finance
  • Follow all costs through the Purchase to Pay cycle covering Purchase Orders, Receipts, Invoice Processing and Payment of Invoices
  • Control all costs on the project ensuring correct allocation to cost centres in the Reporting System
  • Ensure all Purchase Orders are raised in the Reporting System
  • Maintain the Project Management Application system, attaching quotations, invoices and other documents as required
  • Liaise with the Project Team to ensure timely receipt of equipment and services in the Reporting System
  • Ensure invoices are matched to the correct receipts and Purchase Orders and are processed for Payment
  • Liaise with the UK Shared Services Centre to ensure invoices are processed and paid according to terms
  • Create a Fixed Asset Register in the new Reporting System
  • Ensure the Accounting Reporting system is reconciled to the Project Application System
  • Prepare monthly accounts
  • Transfer all Fixed Asset information from current financial software (JDE) onto new financial software (SAP) once the new system is available
  • Provide accounting support to the project team for all expense items to be allocated to the project
  • Attend regular reviews with the Project Team
  • Travel to the Shared Service Centre in Wantage, our Plant in Leicester, and any other Crown locations as required
  • Required Education and Qualifications

  • Part Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA)
  • Required Knowledge and Experience

  • 2 – 3 years’ relevant experience working in finance
  • Required Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience using ERP systems
  • Strong desire to develop and study towards an accountancy qualification
  • Beneficial Education, Experience, Skills (not required)

  • Any experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Any project management experience
  • Knowledge of SAP
