As our Technical Product Manager  Retail Platform at CentralNic, you will play a critical role in the management and delivery of new microservices at CentralNic. You will deliver platform features and deliverables in-line with the longer-term digital roadmap and company vision. As the evangelist for the customer and business stakeholders, the Technical Product Manager defines and prioritises centralised platform features, functionality, and values for engineering teams to deliver on time and with quality. 

Key outcomes of the role

  • Work closely with stakeholders to extract and translate high level business and customer requirements for the creation of platform roadmaps
  • Actively participate, design, and optimise the microservices from initial concept through the development cycle to release ensuring functionality, quality, and schedule
  • Partner with Engineering teams to deliver critical platform capabilities with speed and quality. Using data to inform decisions, design, and priorities
  • Work closely with Engineering teams on a day-to-day basis, participate in daily stand ups, sprint planning & sprint retrospective meetings
  • Integration planning with other Engineering teams for the launched microservices
  • Work cross functionally to ensure the microservices you launch interoperate with other platforms in the business
  • Prioritise requirements to develop highly leveraged microservices needed for building our centralised platform
  • Owning dependencies across teams to ensure successful microservices launches
  • Advocating for the platform and developing relationships across our organisations
  • Partner closely with dependent teams to align on strategy, priorities, and roadmap.
  • Contribute to the big-picture at a strategic level as well as focus on the details when it comes to implementation and execution
  • Be the subject-matter-expert on the platform for all teams internally
  • Triage bugs with engineering teams, prioritise fixes and maintenance
  • Contribute to SMART OKRs with clear delivery milestones, timelines and success metrics
  • Care deeply about building a scalable and resilient microservices platform

Experience and skills that will help you succeed:
  • Strong, in-depth technical knowledge and fluency in Commerce backend platform technology and microservice structures
  • Experience in building and launching various microservices
  • Ability to partner with various stakeholders like engineers and developers on the project scope and overcome issues.
  • Experience implementing best practices in an Agile environment
  • Experience in project management, working with internal stakeholders and managing competing expectations, running projects with clear deadlines for multiple teams
  • An understanding of API-related concepts, such as JSON and ReST
  • Experience in product management, API development, or any related field.
  • Problem-solving skills to quickly rectify any issues with the micro services/APIs
  • Experience in building platforms used by large ecosystems of users in B2C
