Business Operations Support Role
Monday to Friday – 9am to 5pm (hybrid)
Location – Victoria
3 months temporary assignment with a possible extension
Pay rate – £14.29 per hour

The inquiry is seeking two EO Operations Support to join our Business Operation team. The operations team is integral part of the inquiry team with responsibility for ensuring that the operational needs of inquiry are at set up and are fully met. We are currently recruiting for additional support as the inquiry up its recruitment. The Business Operation team focus is to consider the needs of the inquiry in recruitment, accommodation, IT, procurement of additional equipment. The successful candidate’s role is anticipated to initially be focused on resourcing. They will include providing vacancy holders with end-to-end support on the recruitment process throughout the life cycle of the campaign. However, it is expected that the post-holder will also be involved in the wider work of the business operation team.

Main Responsibilities:
” Providing advice, guidance and support to vacancy holders recruiting to roles in their teams.
” Updating recruitment data, including identifying any issues with recruitment or on boarding and resolving or escalating them where needed.
” Uploading vacancies onto the Oleeo recruitment system and supporting their administration throughout the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle.
” Supporting the on boarding new system starts, including assisting with pre-employment checks, providing induction packs and arranging IT delivery.
” Support general administration, such as managing organograms, assisting with payroll queries and updating distribution lists, etc.
” Work flexibly across the inquiry on a range of priority projects with a range of stakeholders, providing support to the teams to assist with ad hoc events, such as away day.
” Handle sensitive information in a confident manner and make best use of technology to produce high quality outputs.
” The post-holder may be required to perform other ad hoc duties consistent with the role and grading, where necessary.

Person Specification:
” Advance knowledge and application of IT system and software packages (Microsoft Office).
” Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage completing demands in a fast-paced environment.
” Excellent attention to detail.
” Ability to work flexibly, balancing competing priorities and meeting deadline whilst understanding the needs, timescales and deadlines of other.
” Highly organised with the ability to multi-task.
” Is a confident communicator ads you will need to engage effectively with a range of stakeholder.
” Willingness to learn new skills, processes and systems appropriate to the role.
” Ability to deal diplomatically and confidentially with wider range of customers both internally and externally.
” Is a self-starter who, once up and running can deliver without significant oversight.

Desirable Criteria:
” Experience of recruitment within the civil service would be advantageous.
