Livewell Southwest have secured funding to support two people to undertake an Masters Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice in Autism. You will be funded to complete a 3 year MSc remunerated at Band 7. Upon completion of the course, you will take up a position of Advanced Clinical Practitioner inn Autism (Band 8a)
During your training, your time will be split between study and working within and across our Autism and Mental Health services. The course will be delivered predominantly via distance learning, however there will be a requirement to attend Sheffield Hallam University for examinations and physical assessments.
On successful completion of the course, you will take up a leadership role across our Community Mental Health services, providing clinical leadership of those most complex cases and the opportunity to implement system and organisational change, aimed at improving clinical outcomes and experiences of autistic people.
Main duties of the job
As your knowledge and skills develop throughout the progression of the course, you will have the opportunity to gain experience, relevant and in support of the learning outcomes of the course, across our autism pathway, both in assessment and post diagnostic support, and within our primary and secondary mental health services. During this time, you will be remunerated at Band 7.
Upon completion, you will:
Case Manage (short term) anmd provide/advise treatment for those people who present with mental heath and autism co-morbidity and who require the support of mental health services.
You will be an expert resource to support and develop the practices across our Community Mental Health Framework, working creatively and fluidly across systems
You will work collaboratively with our existing autism pathway, developing system and organisational policy.
