Prospectus is delighted to be partnering with The Gatsby Charitable Foundation to recruit their new Project Officer, who will play an integral part in the successful delivery of Gatsby’s programmes to support technical education teaching.

Please note, this role is being offered on a 3 year fixed term contract and will be Manchester based with some flexible working.

The Gatsby Charitable Foundation is an endowed grant-making trust, based in London founded by David Sainsbury in 1967. The organisation is one of the Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts set up to provide funding for charitable causes. Gatsby works in areas that David Sainsbury and the Trustees are particularly passionate about and where they believe charitable funding can make a real difference. Gatsby’s work currently relates to 6 key areas – Plant Science, Africa, Neuroscience, Public Policy, Education and Arts.

As the Project Officer key responsibilities include arranging logistics for meetings, conferences and programme work strands along with manage the online platforms where the National Network programme outputs will be stored. You will also maintain effective communication with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure long term impact and engagement with the programme as well as provide administrative and budget support for beneficiary and grants contracts. Ensuring information regarding the programme on the Gatsby and partner websites are coherent and up to date is also a key part of this post.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in a project support position with excellent project management skills. You will have experience building effective relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders as well as be able identify potential risks and challenges for projects. An ability to work both autonomously and as part of a small team is key to the success of this post as is excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
