This is an exciting opportunity for a data analyst with strong experience in MS SQL, Excel and data visualisation tools to join the team to support the recently established team in developing the standards for data quality management across the organisation. The global data landscape is comprised of varying interconnected systems across five regions (also commonly referred to as Member Firms) and requires constant monitoring to ensure the data quality is maintained as it flows through the various systems. The Data Analyst will be joining the team to help drive the proactive monitoring of data quality, ongoing data cleansing and supporting BAU data issues to improve overall quality and reliability of data with an ultimate objective to improve and enhance the business decision making within the Firm.

The Global Data Analyst will be working as part of the Global Data Quality team, reporting to the Global Data Quality Process Owner.

The Role:

  • Triage business data change requests
  • Creation of weekly ad hoc SQL scripts to update offline system replicating mass data changes in global ERP system
  • Create and maintain complex SQL scripts used to support data reconciliation processes, and work with the various teams to improve data reconciliation tools, including:
  • Monitor data discrepancies across the GPMS landscape
  • Analyse the root cause of discrepancies and coordinate actions for resolution (e.g., raising tickets and contacting the business, co-ordinate resolutions via SAP Centre, Shared Service Centre or other team(s) responsible for data corrections in the relevant systems)
  • Report the summary of data inconsistencies and actions for resolution on a periodic basis to stakeholders
  • Support management of the offshore team responsible for carrying out business data updates and data quality monitoring
  • Work with regional teams to support development of global data quality practices and policies
  • Support development and delivery of data quality reports across the organisations systems
  • Carry out proactive data cleansing to enable consistent data values across the global platforms
  • Support development and deployment of Global Data Governance model
  • Provide accurate data reports to stakeholders upon request
  • Support management and execution of data projects
  • Champion global standards for data quality and processes and the importance of single source of truth data for better business reporting and decision making.
  • Skills and Experience:

  • Appropriate tertiary education in IT, Business, Analytics or other related field; equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable
  • Experience working with a Shared Service Centre and/or BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a global organisation with cross-jurisdictional teams
  • Expert level skills in MS SQL and scripting
  • Expert level skills Microsoft Office Excel, including VB programming
  • Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar data visualisation tools
  • SAP ECC and S4 HANA experience is desirable but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (or similar)
