Linux Systems Administrator & IT Engineer – London – up to £80,000 + 15% bonus

An international technology and gaming business in London is urgently seeking a new Linux Systems Administrator and IT Engineer to help them deliver the systems that underpin their global platforms and development environments. You will be responsible for leading the project delivery of the core Linux systems and IT infrastructure – managing resources and working closely with developers to deliver the systems that underpin their environment. Along the way you will also get exposure to containerisation tools such as Docker or Kubernetes. You will also provide support to their environment covering Microsoft servers, cloud services and VMWare.

They offer an excellent salary & package and they also support a good work / life balance through flexible working and home working options – you can be based from home 3 days a week if needed.

As the successful candidate you must have:

  • A track record as a Senior IT Engineer & Linux Systems Administrator
  • Experience of leading IT projects – managing technical and hardware resources
  • Strong experience with Windows Servers and VMware
  • Any exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab pipeline or JIRA administration is an advantage, but not essential
  • Knowledge in firewalls and Security Products such as FortiGate, SonicWall and Firepower
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, collaborative approach
