As a Ramp Airside Operative, you will be joining our team working on aircraft in between flights. Delivering high performance standards, you will be trained to specialise in aircraft turnaround processes including baggage handling, loading and offloading, aircraft pushback and towing. In addition, you will be trained to assist in other aircraft turnaround procedures such as Aircraft Presentation and de-Icing according to our business needs.

Your key duties will be:

  • On-load and off-load baggage & goods manually or mechanically
  • Undertake all relevant baggage sortation duties in a safe and efficient manner
  • Carry out area hazard checks & aircraft inspections.
  • Carry out Towing, Pushback & Head-set duties, including communication with the flight deck, in accordance with the relevant training received.
  • Any other duties relating to aircraft turnaround according to business needs such as Aircraft Presentation.
  • Any aircraft de-icing duties requested.
  • Safe operation of equipment and vehicles necessary to complete your work.
  • You can be assured that you will be fully trained and will complete a full competency assessment before being asked to carry out any of the above aspects of the role. A more detailed Job Description will be provided if you are offered a position.

    Our business operates 24 hours a day 365 days of the year, so you will need to be prepared to be flexible in relation to times and days of work.

    Qualifications and Experience

  • Good verbal communication.
  • A full 5 year work/unemployment/education history.
  • Proof of Right To Work in the UK
  • Full and valid UK Driving Licence
  • Criminal Record Check and Airside Security Clearance (we will assist in this process)
