Design Engineer – Motorsport

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fast-paced evaluation of customer enquiries; conceptual and production.
  • Timely, accurate manufacturing drawings and parts lists (BOM) to enable competitive quotes and subsequently cost-effective build.
  • End-to-end ownership for projects / new product design, incorporating testing and manufacture; including fault analysis and resolution.
  • Design reviews. Independently and with an engineering team.
  • Cross-checking detailed drawings; including design review against specification and previous designs.
  • Oversee accurate work instructions and tool design
  • Driving continuous improvement.
  • Autonomous creativity.
  • Skills and abilities

  • Experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with high quality standards.
  • Commitment and drive to meet tight deadlines.
  • Relevant education / qualification.
  • Design experience ideally in motorsport, aerospace, or a related field.
  • 4+ years industry experience
  • CAD skills.
  • Experience of Solidworks is advantageous.
