Main duties of the job

The role as a Senior HCSW will involve :- Basic care and support of patients, training and supporting HCSW currently in the team or joining the team, Audit’s, and improving the current service. The role will also involve delivering a streamlined outpatient clinic working and support the medical teams within the outpatients department.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • QCF Level 3 or equivalent qualifications/experience
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and social care related subjects or equivalent qualifications/experience
  • Good knowledge of anatomy & phsiology
  • Desirable criteria

  • All Wales HCSW induction framework
  • Experience

    Essential criteria

  • Experience of working as a HCSW without direct supervision in a clinical setting
  • Good understanding of risk assessment and management
  • Skills

  • Evidence of being able to provide wound care using aseptic technique
  • ANTT
