Main duties of the job
We are an established and inspired team and have a long history of successful working relationships with our local stakeholders. As part of the Medicines Optimisation Team, you will be working closely with GPs and other clinicians to shape healthcare and NHS commissioning locally.
With excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills, you will work as part of Southwark Medicines Optimisation Team to improve medicines use for the people of Southwark, who have a rich cultural, social, and economic diversity. You will contribute to promoting and implementing medicines optimisation initiatives within primary care, focusing on cost-effective and quality prescribing. You will also support the delivery of a portfolio of national (QIPP) by monitoring locally agreed prescribing targets and assist with the development of local dashboards. The team is committed to training and development, and the post holder will therefore be involved in the direct supervision of trainee pharmacists at our central London office.
