Teaching Personnel is pleased to offer a 1:1 Teaching Assistant role in the Tameside area of Greater Manchester. Our client is looking for someone who has specific experience working with individuals with Autism. This support will take place in a school setting with the student having a specific educational health care plan (EHCP) making clear the support they need to be given. Our partnered school is an 11-18 mixed secondary school whose last Ofsted report was graded as outstanding, with the report stating SEN students are very well supported.
Any experience working with young people with special educational needs is encouraged to apply right away for immediate consideration. If you have experience supporting adults with additional needs, please highlight these in your CV/application as this will be relevant. The experience required could also come from a personal setting.
The successful applicant will be starting in October 2022 and the role will last for the entire academic year. Working with the student will mean ensuring they can access the work being taught. The assistant will run individualised lessons catered specially for the pupil.
