Job Description

As a Digital Communications Manager you will help to with stakeholder internal and external of the organsation.

You will be responsible for managing the output of various digital channels and will be responsible for raising the organisations via storytelling, innovative content, and engaging design across multiple touch points.

You will work closely with senior members in providing strategic advice to senior leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver inclusive strategic approaches to digital communications across publishing, web and social media channels to enhance our digital offer.
  • Develop and implement a digital content strategy based on audience insight, ensuring content is accurate, user friendly, and reflects our brand and values.
  • Deputise for the head of communications as required to support on the delivery of our annual communications strategy.
  • Manage and inspire a team of two to deliver high quality content that is clear and driven by the needs of the user.
  • Provide digital leadership across the organisation, working in an agile and advisory capacity with teams to find solutions to problems and hit key performance targets for our core statutory services, for example our annual renewals cycle.
  • Build excellent relationships with external stakeholders to plan, deliver and measure third party engagement as a way to reach new audiences, ensuring that our reputation is maintained and protected from risk.
  • Work collaboratively with web development colleagues in our IT team to help shape the design and functionality of our online presence, drawing on effective, audience focused content plans, personas, user testing and research.
  • Deliver digital insight and evaluation through analytics and performance reports to test and create logical recommendations that will continually improve and show the value of digital communications.
  • The Successful Applicant

    As a Digital Communications Marketing Manager you will have;

  • A proven track record working as a Digital Communications / Digital Marketing Manager/ Content Manager and would have managed a small team
  • You will have significant experience of content management systems, social media channel management and digital design ideally in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Extensive experience of designing, developing, and producing compelling multi-media content; for example, blogging, social networking, podcasts, film and animation whether in a personal or professional capacity.
  • The ability to identify the needs of users, as well as map their journeys through content with strong analytical skills to create compelling and persuasive recommendations.
  • The ability to analyse data and research, understand trends, identify risks, articulate potential consequences and to develop solutions working alongside internal and external teams.
  • Good understanding of accessibility, copyright, and data protection issues in relation to websites and content management.
  • Excellent content and editorial skills, including professional-standard copy writing ability and a strong understanding of design and layout skills.

    Salary Circa £38,000- £40,000 plus excellent flexibility and benefits
