Duties and responsibilities
To perform the duties outlined in the role description
Performing a variety of roles including seat moves, cloakroom, meet and greet duties as needed
To sell programmes, merchandise and other ancillary sales as required
To tidy up the auditoria after shows and check for any lost property
To assist with Warwick Arts Centre accessible blue badge parking across campus
To provide extra assistance to any visitors who may require/request it including transit seat and stair lift operation
To answer any questions and queries from customers in a professional and efficient manner. To use the SPARKLE customer service model to consistently deliver exceptional customer service to all visitors to Warwick Arts Centre.
To meet coaches and direct or escort parties safely to the Arts Centre
To retract and extend the bleaching system within the Butterworth hall as required
To set up and dismantle various rooms across Warwick Arts Centre in accordance with operational needs
To act as cloakroom steward before, during and after each performance when needed.
To de-brief at the end of the shift and pass on any relevant information to the Duty Manager.
Attend regular training sessions in order to fulfil the role of Event Steward.
To assist the wider front of house team in ad hoc duties and tasks.
To comprehensively understand and operate within the Warwick Arts Centre health and safety procedures.
To represent Warwick Arts Centre and the Front of House team in a positive way both within the building and when not on duty.
To promote and comply with Warwick Arts Centre policies on equal opportunities, dress code and health and safety, both in the delivery of service and in the treatment of others.
Skills and experience
Essential
To have good communication skills
To have a proven track record of delivering excellent Customer Service
To have an understanding of Health and Safety policies
To be able to prioritise tasks when under pressure
Ability to use own initiative
To be reliable and punctual
To have a flexible and adaptable approach to fulfilling the duties of the role
To have good team-working skills
To have good attention to detail
Desirable
Previous experience as a performance steward
To have Sales and/or cash handling experience
To have a working knowledge of the Warwick University Campus
