We are seeking to appoint a self motivated and enthusiastic Head of Nursing who has the creativity, experience, skills, energy and commitment to play a key role in the development, leadership and delivery of nursing services across the acute services division.

You will support the Associate Director of Nursing and work closely with the Directorate Heads of Nursing to further develop and implement key nursing priorities. Leading by example in the context of safe, effective, and person centred care; with evidence based Nursing practice and policy that reflects local and national priorities, you will provide clinical leadership and advice on a range of key priorities as a core aspect of the role. 

You will work closely with a range of stakeholders at local, regional and national level including collaboration with Medical and Allied Health Professional colleagues to support working across professional and organisational boundaries as well as promoting a supportive and compassionate, caring culture. 

You will require to be a first level registered nurse, educated to Masters level or equivalent with experience in acute healthcare. A related post graduate or professional qualification in Quality Improvement would be desirable. An expert knowledge of current nursing developments, and a demonstrable track record of success in a senior nurse role within a complex health care environment is essential
