Hays are currently working with a rapidly expanding organisation in Worcester as they look to recruit a driven and dynamic Finance Business Partner on a permanent basis.

Due to significant growth in recent years, the company continues to go from strength to strength with further growth anticipated over the next 12 months.

Your new role
Reporting into the Commercial Director, you will provide support, business partnering and analysis to a number of Operations teams across the UK.

Key duties:

  • Prepare and review all reports to be included in the board pack providing additional commentary where necessary
  • Prepare and review P&L with commentary on material variances
  • Prepare monthly analytics for regional units including month-on-month comparisons
  • Prepare quarterly regional analytics for inclusion in the board pack
  • Review unit level reporting with Regional Operations Managers on a monthly basis to identify variance causes and provide solutions
  • Support the Commercial Director in developing a robust budget and forecasting process
  • Line management of Regional Management Accountant and provide support to ensure they achieve their reporting, operational and month-end objectives
  • Attend client meetings and support unit mobilisations where appropriate
  • Oversee monthly review and approve process supporting Operations with invoice sign off
  • What you’ll need to succeed

  • Qualified Accountant or part-qualified Accountant nearing the end of your qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial processes and procedures
  • Previous experience of working in a commercial accounting or business partnering role
  • Capable of embracing change in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable liaising with internal/external stakeholders and senior management
  • Can-do attitude with the willingness to take on a variety of ad-hoc tasks as required
  • Proficient user of MS Excel and accounting packages (SAP an advantage)
