Main duties of the job

The duties of this post are to provide an Occupational Therapy service to Trauma and Elective wards. Successful candidates will complete pre-op, inpatient and follow up assessments, work as part of the Inpatient and Community Multidisciplinary Teams, providing specific intervention and treatment approaches to support Trauma and Orthopaedic patients with rapid recovery and early supported discharge following surgery. Candidates will also have the opportunity to be part of patient education sessions and Joint Schools and be able to contribute to clinical excellence through involvement in regular multi-professional meetings and service developments.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential criteria

  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Attended short courses in relevant clinical area
  • Experience in supporting student placement
