Your new company
Hays Social care are currently working with a client that supports vulnerable youths in our community to help bridge the gap between living in a family style setting to living independently. This organisation teaches young people the skills they will need to live on their own in a safe and nurturing environment.

Your new role
As part of a team of support staff, you will be responsible for the nightly operations of the young peoples independent living accommodation. You will ensure immediate and ongoing support for up to 8 young on any one night; many of whom will have complex and multiple needs. You will have particular responsibility for ensuring the facility is a friendly, welcoming, safe and homely environment.

What you’ll need to succeed
To succeed in this position you will need to be open to night time shift cover, have at least 6 months relevant experience and have excellent team working skills. You will have effective communication skills to deal with vulnerable service users and liaise with internal and external agencies. It is essential you understand the risks involved in the setting and have the ability to manage challenging individuals and situations. You will have the ability to adhere to Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, Protection of Vulnerable Adults and other policies. Being able to drive is a bonus.
