The Opportunity
 

Altus Group is pleased to announce a new opportunity for an Associate Director, Business Intelligence and Reporting to join our Tax team in Manchester.
 

The successful candidate will support our business intelligence function through analysis of complex business problems and issues, using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting

  • Produce reports and dashboards on Microsoft Dynamics using Power BI for all UK Tax business units, reviewing and validating data to ensure reports and dashboards are accurate.

  • Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs or available data elements, providing consultation to users and leading cross-functional teams to address business issues.

  • Ensuring consistency, ensure that employees have the knowledge to continuously run and update their own reports.

    • Business Intelligence

  • Using Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI, conduct business intelligence review of existing data to uncover actionable insights and enable the UK Tax business to make better data driven decisions.

  • Communicate actionable insights to senior management.

  • Hold accountability of identifying process changes/improvements and communicate to employees.

    • Complexity and Problem Solving

  • Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of information requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Devise solutions based on limited information and precedent and adapt approaches to resolve issues.

  • Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Construct forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.

  • Use evaluation, judgment, and interpretation to select right course of action. Work is done independently and is reviewed at critical points.

    • Position Requirements

  • Relevant experience in Business intelligence, IT support, data science, or analytics.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience of Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate.

  • Knowledge of SQL, ETL, DAX, Data Modelling is an asset.

  • Experience in both producing datasets and reports for analysis and presenting findings/ recommendations to key stakeholders.

  • Ability to resolve and assess a wide range of issues in creative ways and suggest variations in approach.

  • Ability to adapt style to differing audiences and advise others on difficult matters.
