The Procurement Department have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement Manager to join the team. Last year they spent £500 million with third parties. As a result, Procurement has become an increasingly vital service helping to drive compliance and commercial thinking, ensuring their spending power is maximised to deliver efficiencies and savings across the business.

This position will play a key role within the team and will see you lead on complex procurement projects. You will work closely with the Senior Procurement Manager developing procurement strategies and independently delivering a wide range of procurement projects, through a variety of procurement procedures. The wide scope will ensure that your work is varied and challenging and will suit someone who is comfortable taking responsibility and enjoys building strong relationships.

They are looking for someone who has experience within procurement, preferably within the public sector. They are seeking someone who has delivered on complex above threshold tenders and has previous exposure to the OJEU framework. You will be familiar with new procurement regulations and have up to date knowledge of any new changes to help drive the procurement function.

You should have excellent knowledge of Public Contract Regulations (PCR’s 2015) and available procurement procedures and their application in Charity / Social Support context.

Confidence and good communication skills is key as you will be expected to build and manage effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Most of all they need you to be a strong team player, capable of adapting to fluctuating workloads and being keen to assist colleagues when required.
