Health and Social Care Assessor Adult

Hours: 37.5 hours per week with flexibility to meet business requirements

Salary: up to £28,000 dependant on experience, and qualifications.

Contract: Permanent

The role: The role is for an assessor who has the competency and back ground to assess up to Level 5 Adult health and social care qualifications. You will have a case load of apprenticeship learners, and you will be responsible for supporting these learners and assessing their qualifications and preparing for end point assessment.  You will be familiar with the apprenticeship standards for these routes, and experience supporting with preparing for end point assessment. It would be desirable if you experience in delivering function skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and assess a caseload of apprenticeship learners
  • Support the progression of learners inline with the target achievement date.
  • Follow our delivery model and ensure the learners progress and complete their qualification in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with employers
  • Deliver teaching sessions where required
  • You will follow our delivery model
  • You will plan and monitor OTJH
  • Attend regular Assessor standardisation meetings.
  • Carry out annual competency updates.
  • Undertake CPD training.
  • Ensure the Key performance indicators  are met.
  • Carry out other reasonable duties at the request of Apprenticeship Manager.
  • You will be required to travel.

Experience:Occupationally competent within health and social care and hold a recognised qualifications in your specialism.

*Qualified to level 5 care/management would be an advantage.

*CAVA Level 3 qualified or equivalent with at least 2 years’ experience

  • Ability to teach and assess level 2, 3 and 5.
  • Up to date knowledge within your occupational specialism.
  • Update knowledge of the Apprenticeship Standards and End Point Assessment.
  • Good ICT skills.
  • Good understanding of awarding body requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including active listening skills; able to communicate with a diverse range of people and organisations.
  • Excellent at building strong working relationships with other organisations.

  • PTELs qualified or equivalent
